Jayden joined Operation XCEL last summer to get early access to the 6th-grade curriculum. He made it a personal goal to improve his mastery skill level in Math. Although he struggled with Math in the past, he worked hard over the summer and enrolled in Operation Xcel's after-school program when school started.

Jayden's grades were inconsistent, but he never gave up. When his math grade dropped to an "F," he agreed to attend intensive tutoring and sacrificed some of his enrichment time. By the end of the second quarter, Jayden had improved his math grade from an "F" (54) to a "B" (80). He continued with the intensive tutoring and achieved an "A" (90) in the third quarter. Currently, in the fourth quarter, Jayden has a "B" (86) in math.
