Henry started attending Operation Xcel four years ago, struggling with reading and facing challenges with his teacher and classmates. Over time, he has shown significant improvement, becoming one of the top readers in his class and developing a passion for STEM activities. Last year, for the first time, he didn’t need summer school and actively engages in enrichment programs. He participates in class, is kind to his peers, and has become a reliable helper for his teacher.

Maintaining a perfect 100% attendance record, Henry benefits greatly from Operation Xcel’s tutoring, homework assistance, and support. The program provides him with after-school snacks, participation in the backpack program, a bicycle from High Point University, a free jacket, and a safe space until his parents finish work. His family often expresses gratitude for the program’s positive impact on Henry.
