REV. DR. NORVELL GOFF SR. TO SERVE AS KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT 10TH ANNIVERSARY GALA

On September 12, 2019, we will host our 10th-anniversary Celebration Gala. We’re incredibly excited to celebrate a decade of impact in the Triad region and we ask that you please consider becoming a sponsor. All proceeds received will go directly to support the goals and mission of Operation Xcel.

Reverend Dr. Norvel Goff Sr. was appointed Presiding Elder of the Edisto District of the South Carolina Annual Conference by the Right Reverend Richard Franklin Norris, Presiding Prelate of the 7th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church on November 14, 2014.

After the June 2015 tragedy at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC, Bishop Norris assigned him as interim Pastor where he provide leadership and pastoral oversight through the congregation’s healing process. As a result of his leadership, Governor Niki Haley awarded him the Order of the Palmetto, the highest civilian honor in the state of South Carolina.

The gala, which takes places at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Greensboro Airport, will commemorate the organization’s 10th year of service helping Triad youth in the areas of academic enrichment and excellence. All proceeds received will go directly to support the goals and mission of Operation Xcel.

Operation Xcel offers academic and enrichment programs and remains committed to providing equal access to quality educational resources, to supporting diversity of thought, and to creating a strong foundation for the development of long-term career goals and civic participation. Your support will help us to fulfill our mission of providing a safe place for youth to excel who have fallen behind in school.
